Why Groom?

Grooming is an essential factor in your pet's life; think of it as an act of love for the health and well being of your pet. The amount of grooming required depends on the length, texture, and environment of your pet.

Regular grooming with a brush or comb will help keep your pet's hair in good condition by removing dirt, spreading natural oils throughout his/her coat, preventing tangles and keeping their skin clean and irritant free. It is also a great time to check for skin parasites, lumps and bumps (like skin tags), or other skin issues (hot spots, infections) that can make him/her uncomfortable.

Ears need regular maintenance to remove excess wax, debris & hair in the ear canals. This is especially important for pets with oily skin or allergies. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, particularly when dealing with ear infections.

Don't forget the pedicure! Nails also need regular attention to prevent ingrown nails, which cause pain, discomfort and deformities. Help make this process "stress free" for both your pet and the groomer by regularly touching every part of the body, including feet and toes.

Special Needs & Special Breeds

Just because cats like to groom themselves doesn't mean they always do the best job. Older cats, and particularly overweight cats, have trouble reaching every part of their body and need assistance on occasion.

Pets with loose skin or wrinkles will need special attention. Dirt and bacteria can become trapped in skin folds causing infection and irritation.

Long and droopy eared dogs may require more frequent ear maintenance due to lack of air flow to the ear canal.

Special medicated baths, flea baths and treatments, and professional grooming are available through our Grooming and Kennel Departments. We also offer specialized Mange baths depending on your pets medical needs, if one has been prescribed by the doctor.

Full grooming services and professional breed grooming are available  through our facility, we ask that you call ahead or email us for appointments or estimates. Included in the groom are the bath, blow dry, and nail clipping / filing. Available grooming days are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
