Our Decision to Make the Switch

We used to take our puppy Chelsea, to a different vet for total care. The last time we took her there, Chelsea’s groom was horrible. To make matters worse, she was nicked five times with three places bleeding. We made the decision to never take her there again.

Soon after that visit, we noticed her “limping”.   We took her to an After Hours Clinic where she was diagnosed with a bad knee joint, which would need an operation in the near future. The other clinic had never even noticed it.  Two days later my wife and I took her to Animal Medical Centre. Dr. Hugh gave her a complete examination, which explained to us that she had a ligament that was “floating” around in her knee, and that it was the cause of her pain and limping. He recommended to us that she be put on a diet to start, on which she lost 3 pounds, but he had to proceed with the operation due to her pain. She is now recovering and doing fine only one month after the surgery.

Her grooms are outstanding, they are able to give her some shape. She is still on the special reduced fat diet, and continuing to lose weight. The cost of the food per serving is actually less than what we had been giving her before. We used to have to pick her up and carry her into the old vet clinic, and now she just walks right in on her own, and walks even better since her operation.

Dr. Hugh and staff are nice, smiling, and always pleasant. They truly do like all animals. It is our pleasure to have found them.
